Getting there From Kuala Lumpur, get onto the North South Expressway, heading North. Once you reach Perak state, take the Taiping Utara exit and head towards Simpang Empat. From Taiping, you can get to Kuala Gula via Simpang Empat or Selinsing. From the North, take the Parit Buntar exit through Kuala Kurau.
Visitors can hire a boat for the purpose of fishing or bird-watching in Kuala Gula. A boat trip (5-10 people can fit in a boat at one time) costs about RM160.00 for an hour plus.. Several government resthouses and chalet are available for visitors intending to visit the sanctuary. There are few moderately priced chalets for those who wish to stay at Kuala Gula
